How Does KLOwen Differ from Traditional Orthodontics?
In orthodontic treatment, brackets and wires are used to shift the teeth into an ideal position. The purpose of KLOwen is to take the guess work out of orthodontic treatment, giving patients results that are faster, more customized, and with fewer things that can go wrong. Using the KLOwen software, orthodontists can create a plan that best meets your needs.
The KLOwen Process
The first step is the digital planning phase. During this time, the digital lab uses advanced tools to develop a CAD model using your patient records and your orthodontist instructions. This way, they can set up a plan to perfectly align teeth into their ideal positions. Next, your orthodontist will review that plan using KLOwen cloud-based software.
The KLOwen software creates a customized prescription, placing each bracket within .2mm of the tooth’s surface – enhancing bond strength and reducing possible failures. The brackets are secured in custom bonding trays to ensure that each bracket is precisely and accurately placed for the more effective treatment. This prescription is 3D-printed and shipped directly to our practice.
Lastly, your orthodontic team applies your brackets using the custom trays, ensuring precise tooth movement from start to finish!
