Our well-established and professional orthodontic practice is looking for a highly
motivated, team-oriented individual who understands the valuable role that the
Orthodontic Assistant plays in an orthodontic practice.
We are looking for someone that is ready to be challenged, have fun, and be proud of what you do. We are committed to quality and we are seeking an excellent individual to fill this role!
JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to): • Communication with patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene • Charting of patient information • Taking records: extra and intra oral pictures & digital radiographs • Taking alginate impressions • Assisting with orthodontic adjustments • Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding • Assisting in the placement and removal of appliances • Prepare tray set ups/Sterilizing instruments and operatories • Encouraging, educating, and motivating patients to follow the recommendations of the Doctor • Fixed retainer fabrication and cementation • Bracket card set-up/placement • Laboratory duties: pour/trim impressions, fabrication of clear retainers• Inventory control: ordering and maintaining stocked chairs • Invisalign (PVS) impressions • Managing a fast-paced patient schedule • Answering the phone and scheduling patients •
Hours are M/T/Th 7:30am-5pm and W or F (depends on week) from 7:00am-5pm = 32-40 hours a week average

Orthodontic or dental experience preferred , but WILLING TO TRAIN the right person. We offer a competitive benefits program including paid holidays, retirement, and a monthly bonus system. Health insurance is not provided.

We prefer candidates with the following experience: • 2 years of Orthodontic chair side assisting (but willing to train!) • Computer skills- Microsoft office (we utilize Ortho 2 for scheduling and digital x-rays)

Scheduling and Financial Coordinator
I have been working in dentistry for 5 years and I love it! My duties at Willow Bend Orthodontics include financial plans, insurance, scheduling, and preparing correspondence. My favorite part of orthodontics is the before and after. I love seeing the end result of a smile makeover and how happy it makes the patient. Other than work, I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband, my sweet little daughter, and our Boston terrier Lucy. I also enjoy photography, reading, and tennis.
New Patient Coordinator/Certified Orthodontic Assistant
It is my job at Willow Bend Orthodontics to ensure that our new patients have a positive experience. I take the initial records and assist Dr. Jones as she treatment plans the best plan for a beautiful smile. I have been assisting in dentistry for eight years, but was very excited to pursue my love of orthodontics when I joined the the Willow Bend Orthodontic team in 2013. I enjoy getting to know the patients and their families while watching the changes in their smiles as they progress through treatment. I currently live in Plano with my daughter and puppy. In my spare time I enjoy crafting and baking.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
As a teenager I was a patient of Willow Bend Orthodontics. I loved every aspect of the office so much I was inspired enter the dental field. I am currently taking my prerequisites and plan to apply to dental hygeine school. When I am not studying, I love helping patients have the same wonderful experience that I had. In my spare time I enjoy running and spending time with my husband.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant/Laboratory Technician
I am "Queen of the Lab" at Willow Bend Orthodontics. I coordinate all of the lab work including making retainers for all of our patients. It is my goal to make sure that each patient's smile stays beautiful! I also assist Dr. Jones in the clinic during the busy afterschool hours. I love getting to know the wonderful families that are patients at Willow Bend Orthodontics. When I am not at the office, I love to refinish furniture- giving old, forgotten pieces a new life!
Certified Orthodontic Assistant (English, Spanish & Portuguese)
I have twelve years of experience as an orthodontic assistant. My job is so rewarding because I am able to get to know the patients and their families so well. It is always my goal to ensure a great patient experience. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Jones and to be part of such an amazing and caring team that loves to make people smile!
I recently joined Willow Bend Orthodontics. Hoping to follow in Dr. Jones' footsteps, I am completing my undergradutae degree in healthcare studies and will be applying to dental school soon.
